This is a reworked and slightly enlarged version of the map I recently published.

I would like to take this opportunity to tell you something. You realize that aurora borealis have been observed on all the giant planets in the solar system, and most of the first registrations were outside the visible range. Particularly strong auroral phenomena occur on Jupiter; the shape and extent of these phenomena are influenced by plasma flows associated with the Galilean moons. On Saturn, auroras were observed in ultraviolet and visible light by the Cassini spacecraft. They are also found on Uranus and Neptune.
Theoretically, auroras can also occur on an extrasolar planet with a magnetic field and a magnetosphere exposed to the influence of stellar winds. Although the resolution of telescopes does not allow capturing an image of such a phenomenon, the emission of radio waves accompanying the aurora can be detected using radio telescopes. Signals that may come from auroras have been picked up from systems containing very cool stars and brown dwarfs 🙂
